FRIENDS for Life is part of a suite of FRIENDS programmes (including Fun FRIENDS and FRIENDS for Youth), which aim to improve resilience (or coping) skills in children and reduce anxiety and improve mental health and wellbeing.

Fostering Healthy Futures for Preteens (FHF-P) is a 9-month preventative intervention working with pre-adolescent children placed in court-ordered social care due to maltreatment. The intervention can take place in a range of settings (homes, schools, communities) with the aim of reducing delinquency, externalising behaviours and mental health symptoms.

Parents Forever is a divorce education programme. It is a targeted selected programme for divorced or separated parents (or parents in the process of divorce of separation) who have children between the ages of 0 and 18. The programme is delivered in a variety of settings, including community-based settings, and aims to mitigate adverse outcomes from divorce and separation on parents and their children. A version of the programme can also be delivered online.

Families and Schools Together (FAST) is a multi-family group approach designed to build protective factors for children. The programme’s key objective is to build stronger families and communities. This community strengthening programme is based on the social ecological theory of child development, family systems theory, family stress theory, attachment theory, and social learning theory.

Doodle Den is a literacy support after-school programme. It is a targeted-indicated programme for children between the ages of 5 and 7. It is delivered in primary school, community centres or libraries and aims to support children to fully participate in education, address delays, and to improve educational outcomes.

Talk Boost Key Stage 1 (TalkBoost KS1) is an intervention for children with delayed language. It is a targeted programme for children between the ages of 4 and 7. It is delivered in the school setting by teaching assistants, and aims to improve children’s core language skills, as well as academic attainment and social/emotional difficulties in the longer term.

The Lidcombe Programme is for parents with a child (aged three to six) with a diagnosed stuttering problem.

Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) is for disadvantaged families experiencing behavioural difficulties with a child between the ages of two and 11.

Second Step Elementary is a classroom-based programme designed to improve school success and student behaviour. It is a universal programme for children between the ages of 6 and 11, and is delivered in primary schools.

EasyPeasy is an app-based parenting programme for parents & carers of children from birth to five. It can be delivered as an early intervention strategy, as a universal programme, or a targeted-selected programme (e.g. for low-income families). It is delivered in the home of the family, alongside early years settings including classrooms, clinics and community centres.
