4Rs2Ss
4Rs2Ss is targeted at families who have a child between 7 and 11 years old who are diagnosed with oppositional defiant disorder or conduct disorder. All children over six years of age in the family are invited to attend the programme.
Auditory Verbal Therapy
Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) is a highly specialist early intervention programme which equips parents and carers with the skills to maximise their deaf child’s listening and spoken language development with the aim of giving them the same opportunities and an equal start in life as hearing children. It is a targeted-indicated programme for children with hearing loss between the ages of 0-5 years. It is delivered at Auditory Verbal UK (AVUK) centres, and aims to improve children’s listening and language skills, and academic outcomes.
Child-Parent Psychotherapy
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is a psychoanalytic intervention targeting mothers and preschool children (aged three to five) who may have experienced trauma or abuse (eg domestic violence), or are otherwise at risk of an insecure attachment and/or other behavioural and emotional problems.
Early Talk Boost
Early Talk Boost (ETB) is an intervention for children with delayed language. It is a targeted programme for children between the ages of 3 and 4. It is delivered in children’s centres or other early years settings by early years practitioners, and aims to improve children’s core language skills, as well as academic attainment and social/emotional difficulties in the longer term.
Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities
Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) is for disadvantaged families experiencing behavioural difficulties with a child between the ages of two and 11.
Families and Schools Together
Families and Schools Together (FAST) is a multi-family group approach designed to build protective factors for children. The programme’s key objective is to build stronger families and communities. This community strengthening programme is based on the social ecological theory of child development, family systems theory, family stress theory, attachment theory, and social learning theory.
GenerationPMTO Group
GenerationPMTO (Parenting Through Change) is a parenting programme. It is a targeted-selected and targeted-indicated programme delivered to groups of families of children and young people between the ages of 3 and 18, where there is a risk of developing externalising or internalising behaviour problems. The programme can also be delivered to families where these problems have begun to emerge, and to birth parents of children/youth who are in foster care. It aims to reduce children and young people's behaviour problems, improve their school functioning and social relationships, and prevent involvement in the criminal justice system and substance use. A version of the programme delivered to individual families (rather than to groups of families) is available.
Group Stepping Stones Triple P
Stepping Stones Triple P has been developed for parents or caregivers of children aged 0 to 12 with a developmental disability, such as Down’s Syndrome or Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Group Stepping Stones Triple P is one mode of implementation of the Stepping Stones programmes.
Helping the Noncompliant Child
Helping the Noncompliant Child (HNC) is for parents who are having difficulties managing the behaviour of a child between the ages of three and eight years.
